The other day I wandered onto this old blog post. The 11 questions meme post. I had so much fun doing this last time, that I decided to do it again. I’m going to answer the questions I asked in my post last year. The rules:

1. Post a photo of yourself

2. Answer the questions set for you in the original post.

3. Create 11 new questions and ask people to answer them.

My answered questions:

1. What would your dream profession be? Or, are you already working the best job ever?

Oh man. My dream job. I love blogging. I work from home and it’s a fun job! I guess my dream DREAM job would be to illustrate a Children’s book or create a line of fabric. I just want to keep creating! I also hope and plan to keep blogging.

2. Share something that your readers may not know about you…. and, you’d like to share.

Uhhhh. Hmmm. Let me think. Well, I lose my mind if I stay in my house ALL day. It hasn’t always been this way. I’m 99% sure it’s because I have a toddler. She’s crazier if we don’t go for a walk/leave the house each day. We are both much happier on our walks. <3

3. Favorite band/song, movie, and book from the past couple of years…

Favorite band album: A Very She & Him Christmas… I just really love Christmas AND that album. <3 Favorite movie: hmmmm… this is hard. I feel like Drive has to win this. I LOVED that movie. I mean… Ryan. Favorite book: Well, since I’ve had my kiddo… my reading has gone WAY down. BUT, I’m trying to read. Mostly I fall asleep after a couple of pages…. but in the past couple of years, I’m pretty sure the Hunger Games series wins. I LOVE it.

4. Share 3 blogs/websites you enjoy visiting:

I read so many blogs and visit so many sites…. But, here are the 3 I think of first: Lovely Indeed, Emergency Compliment, and Pinterest.

5. Do you have a favorite routine? Something you just do each and every day for yourself and enjoy?

I am very much a creature of habit. I love routine. I get addicted to doing the same thing every day… maybe I have issues with change? Ha! Right now my favorite thing… waking up and enjoying my homemade granola over yogurt and applesauce. It’s a silly thing, but it’s tasty and I love it.

6. What would you tell your 15-year-old self today?

Don’t worry so much about what people MAY be thinking about you. You are a wonderful person and are growing into a lovely lady!

7. Why did you start blogging? And/Or, why do you continue to blog?

I had a blog before The Paper Mama… I started that blog just to share my Etsy shop creations and to have a blog. THEN, I had my kiddo. I started this blog because I was lonely. I wanted to find other mama’s, like myself, that were staying at home with a new baby. PLUS, I had some postpartum things going on. I needed/wanted/and found the support.

8. What is a perfect day in your mind?

My most perfect day involves me sitting and just staring at the wall. Ok, maybe there’s a little more involved. Maybe my perfect day is: sitting on the sofa, food being served to me, watching movies all day, and coffee! And, popcorn! And, wine! Fried chicken for dinner, of course.

9. What’s your perfect date night?

The husband and I wandering to a new-to-us restaurant, wine, and a movie. Weeeee! Party!

10. Do you have a secret/hidden talent? Share a video if needed… just kidding. But, really…. Ha!

I really don’t think I have a hidden talent. I’m a terrible dancer. Singing would probably hurt all of you. Hmmm… I’ll let you all know if I come up with something!

11. Finally: Please share your favorite cell phone photo you’ve taken in the past 2 months.

This photo. I took this the day I got home from Alt Summit. I missed this kiddo SO much, and she just looked so adult here. Oh man… I’m tearing up. I love her.

11 Random Things ’bout me

- I have an extreme fear of speaking in public. Eww. There was a time I liked it in college. BUT, now I’m back to hating it. I need to work on that fear.

- Even though I’m terrified of public speaking…. I absolutely love meeting all the bloggers I have been chatting with online. Plus, we all mostly share the same interests and we can really nerd out and talk about blogging nonstop without boring anyone. Yes!

- I loooooooove fried chicken so much that I think the coolest road trip ever would be a tour of america’s best fried chicken restaurants! Yes please. With some thrift shopping of course…. I think I just died.

- I’ve been sick like 15 times this last year! What is going on? I’ve never had so many colds/flus in such a short time…. in my life. I blame my kiddo. ::sigh:: I’m fighting a cold right this minute. Dang it all! She’s not sick though. That’s good.

- I swear my mind never stops wandering. That’s why I usually have some sort of notepad with me to brain-vomit (that sounds gross) my thoughts into a safe place to reference later. Yay!

- My absolute favorite movie is the Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightly. I love it and cry every time. If Joseph Gordon Levitt played Mr. Darcy: I would die.

- I really want to join a craft night club or something in Portland. But, I don’t know of any. And, I’m super busy already…. I probably shouldn’t add one more thing… even though I’d LOVE it.

- I’ve been drawing like a maniac lately. Not just for custom orders. I have goals I’m trying to meet/get to before April! I will do it!

- I’m really nervous/excited about the work my hubs and I are doing on the home. It’s slow going… but, it’s going. We pretty much have  $0 budget… soooo, you know. It’s all done by us. Ha!

- I’ve been listening to the Hunger Games series in audio book. I’ve already read the whole series… but, I really wanted to read (listen) to it again. I kind of like audio books! This is my first time going the audio book route. I like it.

- I absolutely love watching Antiques Roadshow. Husband does too. It’s what we do 8 pm on Monday nights. Just in case you were wondering.

2. What’s your zodiac sign?
Aquarius (you have to sing the song when you say it)!

3. Do you feel your age?
Well… yes. Maybe older sometimes. My kid keeps me busy! Plus my work.

4. If you already have a kid(s)- do you want more? If you don’t- do you want to have kids?
I do have a kid. Miss R. I can’t have any more kids due to safety issues. BUT, we would like more somehow. Surrogacy and/or adoption.

5. Which movie character (not the star playing them!) do you think you’re most like?
Elf.

6. What’s your favorite cocktail ever?
Well… I’m mostly a wine drinker. Sooo… red wine. But, if I had to choose I’d go with a mojito.

7. If you could trade places with any blogger for a week, who would it be?
Hmmm… I don’t know. i don’t think I would. I’d only trade places with a blogger for the 2 weeks they are on vacation in Spain or something. Hee.

8. Could you have ever been a contestant on Fear Factor?
Nope. Nope Nope. Never. I can’t even watch the show. Gah. It freaks me out.

9. Are you a morning or night person?
Night person. Well… if I could do everything the way I wanted (my daughter needs to read this): I would wake up at 9 am and go to bed at 9 pm. Ha! I’m old.

10. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Living in Oregon with my wee family. Possibly with a new baby? Who knows. Bloggin’ away.

11. If you had to live in a reality tv show, which would it be?
Soo…. I get really excited during the auction/thrifting reality shows. So… those. Ha!

Hi! Don from Adeline’s Daddy tagged me for a little blog fun on Wednesday. I thought it would be fun to answer them for myself!

1. I started my blog because…
Well, I started my blog because I wanted to connect with other mom’s that were going through what I was. I was dealing with some pretty rough postpartum after a crazy birth… and, I just needed somewhere to feel like I wasn’t totally losing my mind. Turns out I wasn’t alone.

2. One thing I love seeing on other blogs is…
BEAUtiful photos.

3. Something I love about blogging…
I love that I can see the creativity and talent from all these amazing people around the blogging world…. I can connect and meet bloggers that I wouldn’t have normally met without the internet.

-  Scathingly Brilliant: Well, this isn’t exactly a new new read for me. But, I found her just a little while ago and love her blog/art/and sweet tweets. <3

- Yes and Yes: I love the feel of look of her blog. Plus, she’s adorable.

- The Girls with Glasses: So, these girls are the cutest. I started reading their blog shortly after I found them through the Alt Summit website. I met Brooke at Alt and she is the most kind/sweet lady ever. And, she’s the cutest pregnant lady I’ve ever seen. Seriously.

- Freshly Picked: Susan is awesome. I met her at Alt Summit and her story is awesome. Please, go check it out and her little moccasins for kiddos!

7. Some things I tend to avoid doing on my blog are…
I avoid any talk of politics/religion. I’m not knowledgable in either of those subjects and I don’t really have any reason to talk about them. BUT, that doesn’t stop me from reading other blogs that do. I love learning about the lives/beliefs of others.

Yup…. another Pinterest goody. You ask your kiddo the same 20 questions each year on their birthday starting at age 3… BUT, since my kid talks like a maniac I thought… “Hey, why not start it this year?” SO, we did. Ruari turned 2 this last Sunday. AND… here’s EXACTLY how she answered every question. Some might not make sense. And, yeah… she’s obsessed with Go Diego Go and Dora.
