P.S. Just a note: all of these fonts are free, but most cannot be used for commercial-use (unless you purchase a license).  They should all be fine for personal use, but don’t use them in any product you plan on selling. ALSO note: the rules and regulations for each font are subject to change at any time, and I can’t guarantee these will still be free in the future. You will need to read the rules for each font you download.

Day 24: Striped Painted Glassware DIY

Striped Painted Glassware DIY

Day 24: Striped Painted Glassware DIY

Hello and happy Thursday! Last year I made these lovely glasses and shared them on the Better Homes and Gardens blog. These little glasses are perfect to decorate your holiday table and are so easy to make. They’s also be cute as gifts!

The supplies you need to make these glasses:

  • Martha Stewart Glass Paint: white, gold, and blue
  • new or thrifted glassware (tip: it’s hard to paint clean lines on tapered/curves glassware, I suggest straight glassware if you can find it)
  • rubbing alcohol
  • paint brush
  • washi tape
  • optional: X-acto knife

Day 23: Gumdrop Wreath DIY

Gumdrop Wreath DIY

Day 23: Gumdrop Wreath DIY

Four years ago (I can’t believe it’s been that long already) I was crazy and made a gumdrop wreath! I LOVED how it turned out, but it takes a ton of time to create. It was worth it in the end because it was so cute. I think when I make this decoration again I’ll be sure to use a smaller wreath, and that’s what I suggest you do: put on a couple of Christmas movies, pour yourself a glass of wine, and space out while you start gluing your gumdrops. It may take some time to make, but when you’re done you’ll have a pretty sweet holiday decoration for your door.

The supplies you’ll need for this wreath DIY:

  • One wreath (you choose the size and type, I went with a straw wreath)
  • Gumdrops (I ended up needing 5 pounds of gumdrops for my large wreath)
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks (I probably went through about 30 sticks of glue, or a million)
  • A bowl of water: this is for when you get hot glue on your fingers (cause you will)
  • Pretty ribbon
  • Wire
  • Clear acrylic spray (optional)
  • Wreath hook
  • Time (it took me quite some time to create)
