Aaaand, it’s finally Tuesday.

Well, it’s Tuesday. I do need to say I am HAPPY to have all this campaigning and crap over with. Where I’m located, we get both Oregon AND Washington campaign commercials. Half the time I don’t know who and/or what is up for a vote… since we’re getting double the commercials for 2 states.

I did my own research and sent in my mail-in ballot last week and I’m all ready. Even though I’m happy it’s almost over, I am always excited for the presidential election. Without mentioning who/what/when/where I’m voting for… I am ready to see the results!

Are you ready? Do you vote, or prefer not to? Any voting parties happening in your house? Are you for, or against fried chicken?

Happy Tuesday to all of you,

– Chelsey

Last presidential election we too went to a bar. Definitely more tame this year. I've decided that I'd be all for one 6-year term for a president with no reelection available. I think it would make it so much easier for real work to get done. And, the president wouldn't be spending the last two years of his term needing to fundraise/kiss A/ etc. My two cents.

As a vegan, I staunchly oppose fried chicken. But bring on any kind of vegan version of it! Fried seitan or tofu are my faves!

For the third year were going to meet friends at rock bottom brewery for drunken politics and watch the results come in with beers in hand. So ready for this to be over.

The last presidential election we went to a bar, it was quite fun. This time will be much more tame. 🙂

I am so nervous and will be so happy when it's done. We waste way too much time and money in this country on elections and campaigning!

SERIOUSLY. All those campaign donations…. could go to so many other things.

Mmmm, chocolate and fried chicken?! Count me in. I'm one of the "prefer not to" bloggers. In my honest opinion, I hope
whoever does win will make the country a better place and that's the only stance on the subject I take!

I decided not to vote this year due to various reasons, but am anticipating the results! Gearing two sets of commercials would drive me crazy I can't even imagine.

I cannot wait for tomorrow! Weeee, no more commercials. They are the worst.

Dropped off my ballot last week, and am so ready to be done with the ads. No voting party, but I'm sure my husband and I will be watching. And of course, forever and always FOR fried chicken. And also now I want an ice cream sandwich for breakfast.

Ha ha ha. I hope you get an ice cream sandwich, and I get some fried chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'll just be glad when the commercials and junk mail end!

    • The Paper Mama on said:

OH yes. That darn junk mail. And, the door to door "did you vote?"

I voted as well. I take it really seriously and do a ton of research on my own. I never ever pay attention to the media, they are always bias and tend to misrepresent the facts! As much as I love politics, no election parties for me. I'm actually going to a baby shower tonight to celebrate new life on the way! — I'm actually really glad because I can go crazy sitting at home watching the results come in. LOL

That's the perfect way to get away from the election! Celebrate those babies! <3

I went to early voting too last week. I'll be so happy when it's all over with!

I'll be strapping on my baby and walking up to cast my vote here soon. I'm definitely ready for all of the political commercials and advertising to go away, but kind of anxious waiting for the results.

    • The Paper Mama on said:

Yes, ready and anxious! Hope you had a nice walk to vote!

I went to the early voting center last week, so my civic duty is DONE! Now, I don't plan on even looking at the TV until it's all done and over with. All the TV babble makes my head hurt!

    • The Paper Mama on said:

Bah, I haven't even turned the TV on yet…. I know I'll be watching tonight. Can't help myself. 🙂

If all goes well, I will be voting today. If I see chocolate on the ballot, I'll be voting in favor of chocolate. If the writers of the measures would explain their goals in terms of chocolate, I'm sure I'd understand better. Hah! Esther Norine Designs
