Pony party pony party!!!

When I got an email asking if I’d like to throw a “Pony Party”…. for my girl… just because… I signed myself up. Barely reading the details. I’m not really into reviews… but: Yes please, pony party for everyone!

Soooo, I was sent 3 boxes of ponies. Twenty four total. What am I going to do with 24 ponies? Well, invite all my friends that have little kids over to play. Each kiddo that came got 2 ponies! We had magic fairy wands, beautiful bracelets, flower necklaces, and yummy treats to eat. I even set out a plate of carrots for the horses to eat (and, even convinced some of the kids to eat them too).

I didn’t want to stress myself out with too much decorating and party planning (I threw this party right before I flew to New York, for BlogHer), so I kept it all simple. I ordered some pizza and we had doughnuts for dessert (and wine for the mamas…. hee). Before our friends came over, I spent about 30 minutes crafting up a garland and some toothpick doughnut toppers for the decoration. I used some old Pear Tree Greetings invites that had pink wood grain print on the back to make my garland and toppers (I can share how I made them next week).

It was a simple and cute party. The horses were a hit, of course. Miss R now has 2 more horses to add to her vast collection (we really should get her some help… she has a major pony addiction). And, she’s pretty obsessed with the map the ponies came with. She tells me where all her horsies live.

And, I will admit I’m sick of watching this video (Miss R has watched it 90 million times)… but, I’ll still share it:

– Chelsey

P.S. I’ve decided to not share the faces of any of the kiddos that came to the party… since they aren’t mine. <3
