Thursday’s Three: Feeding baby

{Messy Ruari in her new bebePOD at 23 weeks}

Right now we are all about feeding our baby “human” food. So, this weeks Thursday’s Three is all about feeding baby.

1) Bib’s are now a necessity with my baby. I never liked bibs, but she started drooling like crazy and a bib is easier to change than her clothes. 😉 And, now that we are trying out food with her it’s way messy! This is a cute little pinstripe bib from Modern Threads. I really like that it’s made with organic fabric since Ruari put’s everything in her mouth! Check them out for other cute baby goodies.

2) Pretty soon we’ll be feeding Ruari more than just rice cereal. I’m so excited to try out our Beaba Babycook. We got as a gift a couple of months ago. It steams and blends the food! I hope it works nicely!

3) Green Sprouts Eco Friendly Silicone Toddler Spoon. As you can see in the video below: Ruari just chews on anything she gets in her mouth. That’s why a silicone spoon is perfect for her. Right now we have the Beaba spoons that came with our Babycook, but we will probably need more than the 2 spoons we have. Maybe I’ll try these spoons out. We love anything eco-friendly. 🙂

By the way: I totally plan on doing a comparison review on the Bumbo and the bebePOD in about a month. Since I am borrowing the Bumbo and own the bebePOD now I can compare and see what I like from each of them. So far the bebePOD has been awesome! 🙂

    I loved making my own baby food. I enjoyed being able to use fresh in-season fruits and veggies. Especially the ones you don't normally find in store bought baby food. Some of our favs. were avocado, avocado banana, and during the fall, he LOVED pumpkin varieties such as apple pumpkin. It is also a sneaky way to include the foods that baby may not like…adding a little bit of fresh spinach to banana, You will love that little machine! Keep us updated on how well she does!

    I miss bibs. My toddler refuses to wear them. Sigh!

    You will love your Beaba cook! That's what I use and I love it! It's so easy and makes life easy! Did you get the molds to freeze the food too? I love those too!

    I'm really interested in hearing about that food steamer/blender. I love hearing about how other Mama's make their own baby food 🙂

    She is SO cute!! The twins always grab the spoon too – makes feeding difficult 🙂

    Isn't it crazy she's grabbing the spoon! We just started feeding her last week. Whew!That watermelon plate comes with the bebePOD. It attaches to it. You can also attach a toy to the tray.

    I loved Ev's Bumbo. Wish that I had it around for Emma Claire when she was that age. But I didn't have the bebePod to compare it to either. Ruari's watermelon plate is darling. It reminded me of the other day when I gave Evelyn her own slice of watermelon. What a hit! She definitely is her Mama's child!

    Oh my goodness! She makes eating SO adorable. Big girl already trying to feed herself – watch out, she's growing fast!
