Product Review: Bon Bon Brittle

{Mmmmmm! Bon Bon Brittle!}

Mmmmmmm! Yum! This weeks product review is on Bon Bon Brittle.

The two lovely ladies over at Bon Bon Brittle were VERY sweet and sent me a sample box of some different flavors of their yummy brittle.

All their brittle is handmade and hand packaged. They also make them in small batches. They use natural ingredients and try to buy from local suppliers (huge plus to me)!

I was sent 5 different flavors: Bacon, Bacon Chipotle, Chocolate, Divine Almond, and Green Tea. I was most looking forward to trying the bacon flavored brittle’s!

Ok, here it goes… I’m trying the MUCH anticipated Bacon Brittle:

My favorite♥ flavors and why I loved them:

1st place: Divine Almond… Of course I was most excited about the bacon brittle, but I was immediately pleased and in love with the Divine Almond! Sweet brittle, with salty almonds. LOVE it!

2nd place: I loved the Bacon brittle… The awesome salty bacon taste is perfect with the wonderful sweet brittle. It crumbles in your mouth. The peanuts were a nice touch too.

3rd place: Chocolate brittle… It wasn’t overpoweringly chocolaty, and it still had the nice brittle taste. This would really satisfy my chocolate cravings! Yum!

4th place: Bacon Chipotle brittle… This was great too! Not too spicy and it still had the yummy saltiness of the bacon.

5th place: Green Tea brittle… I have a mug of green tea every morning. I was very curious to try this. It was really good, just not my fave. But, it was my hubby’s fave! Maybe it’s because I’m such a bacon-oholic… It had the nice green tea flavor with the sweet brittle taste.

I had my Grammy, Nicole, Mike, and my hubby give them a try as well. Here are their favorites:

Hubby: Green Tea

Monday’s My Pick: Flood Clothing!

I LOVE hats. Really love them! And, my favorite hats always come from Flood Clothing. Flood Clothing is based right here in Portland.

Nicole Flood, the awesome creator, is so much fun! She usually can be found at the Saturday Market and is always more than willing to help you find your perfect hat.

I think I’m going to have to get a hat for Ruari as well. Pass on the tradition! 😉 A couple years ago I ordered a custom hat for my sis. Nicole Flood was soo helpful and it was so cute!

I now have 4 of her hats. I just love them! A couple of times I have strayed from the Flood hats… and they are just not the same! I just need to stick with what I love… Flood Clothing! Please please please check out her shop. You can buy a hat there if you don’t have access to Portland’s Saturday Market. (By the way… She does make men’s hats as well!)

I Heart♥ Faces challenge: "Then & Now"

♥ This weeks I Heart Faces challenge is all about “Then & Now”. Basically you recreate one of your old photos. 😀

So, for this week I took an old photo of me as a baby being held by my Mom… and recreated it with me holding my baby. I had a lot of fun doing this! The challenge on I Heart Faces was originally inspired by this website: Young Me Now Me. Please check it out! It cracks me up!

The questions..

1. Are you superstitious?
Yeah, I think so… just a little! I don’t actually notice I am until I wont open an umbrella indoors or walk under a ladder! 😀

2. If you were an animal..what kind would you be?
Hmmmm, I think I’d have to be my cat, Pistachio. He sleeps allllll day long! And, I really would love to have a nap!

Shoulder pads. I’m sorry. Last fall all the stylists were trying to tell me they were coming back… no! No way man. 🙂

4. If someone posts a VLOG..do you watch it?
Ummm, probably not. I guess I don’t really see them. AND, I’m usually only on the computer when baby is sleeping. No noise.

5. Have you ever waxed your girlie/manly parts..or any other part of your body?
Yes. Ouch.

6. Are you a spender or a saver?
Both. Depends on the mood. Seems whenever I have money to spend I don’t spend it… or when I don’t have it I want to spend! I’m crazy.

7. If you were starring in a movie..who would you want to play your leading man/woman?
Johnny Depp.

Photo Challenges on the paper mama … Joy!

While I’m coming up on the 2 year birthday of my Paper Lady blog… it has officially been a month since I started up my paper mama blog! Yay! It’s a great place for me to share my thoughts and have a little “me time”. Whenever baby is napping… I’m blogging! I really enjoy it and I really love all of the fellow blogger’s I have met.

One of my FAVE things to do in my blogging world are photo challenges. I take a million photos and love to play with them in photoshop.

So, yes… I have jumped on the blogging photo challenge bandwagon. 😀 The paper mama now has a weekly photo challenge! Can you say yay?!

There always has to be rules… I know, boring right? But, it’s to help me and you. 🙂 Click on the link for more details…

Since this is a mama blog all the challenges will be based around your children. Now, I’m not too picky on what you call your children. As far as I’m concerned my cats and dog are my kids too! Take or find your best and favorite photo that just screams JOY!

Simplicity Photo Contest♥ … Minimalism

So, I found out about this contest from Beka at Hold on Love. I love blogging challenges. The highlights of my day! So, the contest is about minimalism. My photos are rarely minimalistic. 😀 But, I’ll do my best!
Here’s a pic of Ruari. I’d love to say she was gazing at Daddy or looking at her toys or in a deep thought about politics… but she wasn’t. She was watching TV! Yeah, she loves it.
