Challenging myself…

I’ve decided to participate in quite a few photo challenges for the year. I’m doing 52 weeks of me.. that means at least once a week I will turn the camera around and photograph myself for a year… and, I’m also taking at least one photo everyday for one year. My 365 challenge. I want to improve my photography and the only way I’m going to do that is by taking photos!

Selfie Saturday: Full body shot. I really like how Elena discusses how to stand… etc. I mean really: I NEVER stand like this. 😀 But, I do like the effect. Are any of you participating and learning?

Photo Challenges … I’ve missed you!

With that guy copying my blog posts and the virus I got on my computer last week… I’ve barely entered any photo challenges! I feel like I’m missing something! So, time to get my photo challenge fix!

New photo challenge I’m excited about: SELFIE Saturdays with the very talented Elena. So, I’m late with this first self portrait…. but, I wanted to join up. Week one is all about: Our Dream Self
Well… as a mom it can be hard to actually get a shower or even wear make up. I’m freshly showered and have some mascara on today. It makes me feel good. 🙂 The second weeks theme is “full body shot”. This is where my “dream self” gets a little difficult… I want to be in shape. I’m working towards it… but, it’s been hard. I’ll think of this next weeks shot as my “before” photo. 😀 I know I’m not overweight… but, I just want to be healthy and toned.

Wordless{ish} Wednesday: My tattoo

{I thought I’d try and take some photos of my tattoo today. BUT, I didn’t want to use a mirror for the photos… and, I still don’t have a shutter release… so, this leaves me with holding up my camera and hoping I get the tattoo in the shot! :D}

{I ended up really liking how my little detailed tattoo shots turned out. I LOVE tattoos. I think most are very beautiful… except this one…

…that’s a pretty horrible tattoo! BUT, I mostly love all tattoos. I think they can be very beautiful. I would love to get more in the near future… but, I like to think of my future tattoo’s for quite a while before I actually get them. :)}

Grandma and Grandpa

Mike’s parents came into town this weekend to celebrate mine and Mike’s birthday. Our birthday’s are 2 weeks apart. 🙂 I can never convince his parents to get in a photo… but, after telling them that Ruari LOVES looking at photos they were totally up for it. But, Ruari wasn’t really into smiling during photo time. Oh well… still cute. 😀
