Inspirational Mirror
My oldest daughter will be headed off to 3rd grade in the Fall. How did this happen? Wow. Time flies. Anywho. She’s an amazing kid, she’s smart, and she’s beautiful on the inside and out. Even though I see she’s one of the greatest humans I’ve ever met, she has things about her that she doesn’t like. I had NO IDEA it would start this early. I wish it would never start, but I went through all this while I was growing up. Insecurities. Not feeling like I fit in. All that. It’s here and I’m going to do my best to remind her that she is this inspiring little human that I love and adore. She’s kind. Funny. She’s an all around a great person.
All of this motivated me to create my SMART BEAUTIFUL AMAZING Inspirational Mirror. This mirror is in her room and anytime she views her reflection she will see these affirmations.

Supplies:
- SMART BEAUTIFUL AMAZING Silhouette print and cut file
- Silhouette cutting machine
- Silhouette White Printable Vinyl Sheets
- Silhouette Transfer Tape
- round mirror (this one is similar to the one I have)
- gold spray paint
- painters tape
Directions:
Step 1 (optional):
I bought this mirror on super sale and even though I did not love the rustic frame I knew I could use a bit of paint to make it more my style. If you are painting your mirror frame: Prep your mirror for painting. I used blue painters tape and a piece of paper to cover up the mirror. I trimmed any extra tape that was on the frame with a knife.
In a well ventilated space, while wearing a face mask, follow the directions on your spray paint to paint the mirror frame. Let dry for 24 hours.
Step 2:
Download my SMART Silhouette cut and print file. This file is set up and ready for you to print from your printer and then cut in your Silhouette. All you need to change are the cut settings. I used the “Sticker Paper” cut (cut twice).
If you want a different color/background for your mirror wording I have provided the files separately so you can set them up yourself. Rainbow background and SMART AMAZING BEAUTIFUL words.
My mirror is 9″ wide and that is what my Silhouette file is set up for. You can adjust the size as needed.
Step 3:
Print and cut the SMART AMAZING BEAUTIFUL words with your Silhouette machine onto the printable vinyl sheets. Note: I can see I really need a new blade!
Step 4:
Peel the excess vinyl sheet off of the cutting mat. Use your pick to push down any letters that might peel off with it. The vinyl letters should still be on the mat when you’re done.
Step 5:
Cut off a portion of the clear transfer tape and stick the tape over the wording. Use your tools to press down the transfer tape over the wording. Carefully peel back the transfer tape. This will peel the sticker wording off of the mat!
Step 6:
Carefully place the circle of words onto your mirror. Use your tools to really press down the wording so it sticks to the mirror. Using your tools slowly peel back the clear transfer tape from the mirror. If any of the letters peel up just push the stickers back down and press it onto the mirror again.
Now you’re done!
