Messy Side Pony

I thought I’d try my hand at another hairstyle from A Cup of Jo. It’s the Messy Side Pony. It’s very simple to do. Check out the link to see more detailed directions. I realized after I had finished that it’s not really a “side pony”. They left the pony in the center of the neck and just moved it to the side a teeny bit. Oh well. Next time. 😀

If you try it out, share it with me! I’d love to see. It’s nice to do something nice for yourself every once and a while. 🙂 Take a shower (well… this hair-do calls for day old hair :D), put some makeup on, and put your hair up! 😀

I randomly stumbled onto your site a few days ago and now I feel like hugging you! I have very long, slightly wavy, deceptively thick hair and as much as I love it most of the time, during the summer it drives me frickin’ insane (and at the same time short hair still manages to be exponentially worse. It’s like if Shirley Temple got stranded in the Amazon. It cannot be tamed, even by the hair gods themselves.). I’m also not very creative with hairstyles, but your hair tutorials have pretty much save me from dying under the weight of a lion’s mane! And the best part is they’re easy to understand :D.

As for this particular style, I think I like your take the best. At least for me, that adding braid/twist thing you have guarantees my hair will stay put (in other posts you mentioned how your hair slips ties and bobby pins, well ditto for me. It also undoes and backcombing I did unless I can deal with the weight of my hair somehow.)

    Again, thank you!!
