How To Make The Best Hard Boiled Eggs

The Best Hard Boiled Eggs

I don’t even know how many techniques I’ve tried to create the best hard boiled eggs. So many times, I’ve failed at the boiled egg situation (I tend to overcook them). For the past few months the technique below has worked for me over and over. I love keeping boiled eggs in the fridge, since they are such a quick and easy snack.

How To Make The Best Hard Boiled Eggs

Ingredients:

  • Eggs
  • Water
  • Salt

Directions:

STEP 1:
Put the eggs into a pot, fill with water to about 1 – 2 inches above the eggs.

STEP 2:
Bring the water to a rolling boil. At that point put a lid on the pot and turn off the heat. Note: if you have the type of stove top that cools fast, reduce the heat to simmer for about a minute. After that, set a timer for 10 minutes.

STEP 3:
When the timer is up, cool the eggs in some cold water and place in the fridge.

STEP 4:
When the eggs are cool, you’re ready! Note: eggs that are older are easy to peel. Eggs that are a couple days old are perfect for this project. If you don’t have that time, put the eggs in the freezer for about 25 minutes and then peel them. Don’t forget about them in there!

Come back tomorrow for a cute egg snack for the kids. Snack ideas!
