Favorites for Thursday: Easter Edition

The kiddo and I are getting ready to decorate Easter eggs… I was looking for projects that may be easier for the kiddo and fun for me! I’m always looking for something new and more exciting than the normal Easter egg coloring. Below are the inspiring DIY’s I’ve gathered for us. I can’t wait for coloring today!

ALSO… a couple of other thing’s to share:

- The last day for my rainbow themed giveaway is Sunday! Check it out to win awesome goodies!

- Better Homes and Gardens is hosting a twitter party on April 2nd! I’ll be there chatting, and we’d love to see you there! It’s at 5 PM PST. Just head to my twitter account at that time and I’ll have hashtags, etc. We are chatting about Spring Decor. I focused on quick Spring updates for your bathroom. My favorite way to update a bathroom for little cash: a new shower curtain and maybe a bath mat. Changes everything. Add a few more details and you’re good!

Hope to see you at the twitter party next week!

A year.

2013? Really? Is that really happening? Wow. 2012 was an interesting and challenging year for me. My blogging and illustrating has turned into a business. I’ve been focusing on healing myself and working on my PTSD. I’m watching my kiddo grow from a babbly two-year-old to a sassy/chatty 3-year-old (her hair is longer, too).

Blogging is so interesting. I can always remember back, think about how a year has gone. Thinking of the good, the bad, and the weird. Funny. All that. BUT, it’s never quite the same as wandering back through old blog posts. My posts are pieces of me that I shared in THAT moment. Anything from a favorite date with my husband, to a silly thing my daughter did. It’s all documented here. I don’t share each and every thing that happens in my life here, but I do share quite a bit.

This last weekend I wandered through all my posts from the year. There are a LOT. I’ve picked out a few of my favorites. I can’t help but wonder what it will be like to wander back 10 years from now… and check out my 2012 blog posts. Wow. OMG. I’d be 40. Not ready. Never mind.

Well, here you are. My favorite posts from 2012. If YOU want to wander through and share your favorite moments from 2012, you’re welcome to link to your blog post below.

You like my little dolly? I found her at a flea market last weekend. She’s a bit of a creep-o. But, I think she’s cute (and, so does R). Hee. I like to move her around the house and put her in random places. So far my husband hasn’t noticed the moves…. I think I’ll try his nightstand after he goes to sleep tonight. Ha!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! My weekend is jam packed. Gardening and birthday parties. Here are my links I loved this week:

A raffle at The Haps to win some amazing prizes and just $5 towards March of Dimes to win! Good good.

Very cool DIY fruit balloons! Fun for a summer BBQ!

No way could I share a favorite links posts without linking to some dessert…. Gooey S’mores Cookies!

I’m in love with this year of instagram display idea! Great great idea!

Yuuuuum. Onion rings.

She built a table all on her own!

These cupcake liners! Adorable.

I love Scenic Glory’s “Next Chapter” post.

Beautiful photo canvas wall in this office.

New sponsors this week! If you have a moment say, “Hello, hello, and hello!”

I love this DIY button badge.

A cute guest post. 10 ways to fix a bad day.

The last photo in this pregnancy announcement shoot made me giggle. I was so sick when preggo with R.

A sweet post from Dear Baby…. about her daughter. Unbridled Joy and Light.

Standing with Diana. I read this story earlier this week on The 818 and was shocked…. sadly the babies didn’t make it…. <3 But, the journey is pretty crazy.

I’m pretty sure anything with cheese tastes good. But, adding avocado and pesto? Delicious sandwich.
