Have you seen me? Hello?

{Sophie the missing Giraffe!}

I have looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find Sophie! I brought her to my Grandma’s for Mother’s Day and haven’t seen her since. I’m always so good at keeping track of her… Baby needs to chew on her!

I bet she’s under something in this messy house of mine. Maybe I’ll find her soon. I hope! Look how lost Ruari looks without her… 😉

By the way, we had a lovely weekend. The weather was very nice! The forecast for this week is sunny and in the 70’s! Wow, what a great week.

Simplicity cell phone photo challenge: What makes me happy?

{Mike’s wine and the sunset: September 2008}

This challenge is a little unique. We have to take a cell phone photo of what makes us happy. Well, my lame phone takes photos… but, I cannot figure out how to get the photos off of this phone onto my computer! So, we’ll have to do a little flashback to September 2008 (This is when I had a cool iPhone. I don’t know why I ever switched!). This challenge was inspired by the book: The Best Camera is the One That’s With You. I am really going to have to check this book out!

Mike and I were in Greece for our honeymoon. My camera decides to break on our 2nd night there! So, here we are in Greece with only a cell phone for taking photos. We did get a ton of great photos with it though! This one was taken from our hotel balcony of the sunset over the Caldera. So pretty! *What makes me happy is watching the sunset with my hubby and a nice glass of wine.*

And, there was a really sweet couple from California that let us borrow their camera for the remainder of our trip since they were headed home! Can you believe it? That was amazing. We were able to take photos on our honeymoon with a real camera. When we got home we sent back their camera with a bottle of wine. That was sooooo nice!

Let’s see what you can do:

Monday’s My Pick: Preserve Jr. Toothbrush!

{Preserve Jr. Toothbrush}

I try to recycle as much as I can! Every scrap of paper… every soup can… So, when I found out about the Preserve toothbrushes, I was so excited! I know… I’m easily excited! 😉

These brushes handles are made from 100% recycled plastic. AND, when you are done with that toothbrush you send it back to them and they recycle it again! Another fun fact: Preserve also donates a portion of the Jr. Toothbrush profits to the National Wildlife Foundation.

Can’t find anywhere to recycle those #5 plastics? Preserve will take them! Click here to find a drop off site. Click here to buy these toothbrushes!

I think I’ll get some of these toothbrushes for myself. Ruari’s gummy mouth isn’t quite ready for a toothbrush yet!
