Day 4 of my 50 DIY Days: Mustache and Googly Eyes Door Decor

We love Halloween in our home, but I feel like I never have enough time to truly decorate for Halloween. We always do the pumpkin thing and put out a few spooky decor items here and there, but the time goes by so fast and then I’m ready to start decorating for my favorite holiday, Christmas! If you’re like me and want to keep your Halloween decorations simple and quick, then I have the perfect DIY for you. My mustache and googly eyes door decor will take no time at all to make and it’s fun. Your kids and trick or treaters will love it!

Supplies needed for this DIY:

  • a pair of googly eyes (these can also be found at Michaels)
  • two 8.5 x 11 black glitter foam sheets
  • one 8.5 x 11 sheet of felt
  • scissors
  • Command Strips
  • hot glue
  • free Mustache Pattern Printable

Directions:

STEP 1:

Print and cut out the mustache pattern. Trace the front of the pattern onto the back of one sparkle foam sheet, then flip that pattern over and trace the other side onto the back of another sheet of sparkle foam. Cut out the mustaches.

STEP 2:

Cut out two “sharp” triangles out of the white felt. These are the teeth.

STEP 3:

Hot glue the felt teeth onto the back of the mustaches.

STEP 4:

Apply two Command Strips to the back of each eye. Apply 3, or more, Command Strips to the back of the mustache pieces. Attach the eyes and mustache onto you door! Tip: Before you attach the decorations to your door, clean the door off with soap and water.

We used your idea for our door. Used the cricut to cut everything. It is awesome!
