I’ve never been that great with makeup application. I don’t really know what I’m doing when putting on any makeup. It’s like a guessing game for me. I mean, I get mascara. I know how to do that (RANDOM FACT: my very first mascara was blue, oh the 90’s), but I WANT to know how to apply all the makeups, instead of constantly asking myself: – “What is this powder for?” – “How do I put 3 different shades of eye shadow on and make it look like that?” – “Oh, you mean that is supposed to look good when I put it on my face?” –  This leads to lots of searching for online makeup tutorials or removing makeup (so many times).

If I do mess up my makeup I’ll usually just say, “Pfft, oh well.” and move on. If I’m headed out on a date with my man or out for a girls’ night, I’ll try a bit harder. I might even start the whole thing over, especially if I screw up my eyeliner… multiple times. I’ve been using water and cotton swabs to start over, but turns out there’s actually something better: Eye makeup remover! Weirdly enough, this is my first time using an actual makeup remover. Almay sent me some Oil Free Gentle makeup remover, and it’s been working pretty awesome. Especially when starting over/correcting my eyeliner mistakes. I’ve been folding them into little corners to define the eyeliner edges. Works pretty well.

    I have never been great at doing makeup, but when I get the rare chance to go out with the girls, I will usually do a moisturizer, bare minerals powder and some mascara. Put my hair up and voila! Doesn't look too awful, but I admit I could probably do better.

    We usually go casual. So it's normally freshen up, wash face etc…. put on fresh makeup, brush hair and teeth, put on some perfume, jeans, boots and a nice top

    I haven't had a girls night since before my daughter was born, lol. She's 4 now, yikes! I used to straighten my hair, put some foundation on, lip gloss and just a bit of eye shadow.

    I like to start with a refreshing shower. I use a bit of foundation on my cheeks and sometimes paint my nails to match my outfits. I like to be dressy, but comfortable when going out for the evening. Normally, I dress in black slacks and a nice silky top. On occasion, I wear comfortable dresses.

    GNO- everything goes on darker, bolder, heavier. Must start with an AMAZING moisturizer over flawless skin or what's the point? Great skin is the game changer. Caring for your skin occurs on a daily basis- preparing your canvas if you will! On my body goes amazing fabrics, draped just right- perfect cut for my body. Finish it off with an incredible scent and you've got the whole package covered!!

    I don't look good with a lot of makeup (fair skin and blue eyes) so I usually just use a small amount of foundation that is sheer and lightweight and then use a little brown mascara, purple or brownish eye shadow and a nude lip. I look horrible with eye liner so I nixed that ages ago, lol. A cute outfit and I am ready to go.

    I create a girls night out look by searching on pinterest for fun ideas and then applying one of those. I don't wear much makeup but if I'm going on I choose one bold trend whether it's cat liner or red lips and a little mascara to spruce up my look 🙂

    For girls' night, I generally do just a tad more dramatic than during the day. I'll add water to my Bare Minerals eyeshadow to make it darker. I'll use a little thicker eye liner and I'll put mascara on both my top and bottom lash. So, mainly define the eye a bit more.

    I am terrible at makeup application, but if I am trying to look fancy I will normally opt for winged eyeliner (after several attempts of getting them even!), nude/tan/shimmery eyeshadow, and red lips!

    Oh goodness, you have my empathy! From private school to nursing, I rarely have the time or option to wear makeup. On a girls night out I typically wear my standards of tinted balm and mascara, and occasionally add some shadow to my eyelids.

    I've been extremely lucky that I have pretty clear skin, so I am very much a minimalist when it comes to makeup. A little foundation if needed, mascara, and tinted lip balm. Possibly eyeliner and eyeshadow, but that's a pretty rare occurrence.

    I don't use make-up most of the time, but if I'm going out I'll use a bit of lipstick and lipgloss, concealer (if needed), and a very light blush. I especially like to have a new outfit though; that is my favorite. 🙂

    My ENTIRE makeup bag got stolen out of my car this summer, the bag I've had since I was 16 and first started wearing makeup! I cried. A lot! My husband tried to console me saying that we could just go buy more makeup. I had to explain to him that it's not that easy. It's like a collection! Fav brushes, powders, shadows…gone. I've found the bright side it in with my new and improved makeup and routine.

    for a girl's night, i usually go for a smokey eye. i play it pretty natural throughout the week, so something with a little more drama is exciting 🙂 i keep my cheeks and lips pretty neutral, so i don't look like a circus clown. definitely some false lashes so my tiny ones don't get lost.
