Congrats on making the list. As for the flooring…..GOOD LUCK.
Had a 1920's house that had asbestos under tile. The insurance company did not consider what would be UNDER the tile besides the asbestos. Discovered AFTER removal company sawed the entire floor out that what was underneath all the tile and asbestos was beautiful MAHOGANEY wood flooring.
Just be sure you know the type of wood you have under all the other materials, know the removal company and how knowledgeable they are about antique flooring and be there to watch every move they make. I'm still sick over what was done. But live and learn and help prevent others from experiencing the same tragedy to a home that you consider a treasure from 1920! Good Luck to you!
