Let’s talk about my photo challenges. I started my photo challenge back in May 2010. I have some amazing bloggers that participate all the time (some make it each and every week), but participation has gone down and I wonder if doing a challenge once a month would be better. I don’t want to completely end the whole thing, but maybe this would be more fun for everyone?
Let’s give it a try. The photo challenge for this month, “Fall”. It will end on November 24th. Maybe I can set up a prize for the winner? I’ll let you all know. 🙂

- My photo challenges do require you to have either your children or one of your furry children (pets) in the photo (unless it’s a self portrait week). It could be just one finger… or a toe… but, they must be there.

I didn't. I'm sorry. I don't think I will be able to. With my monthly challenges, it will be easier for me to keep up with the winner's posts. 🙂
You know what sucks? Entering your challenges when you don't even choose a winner. Maybe not a big deal to you, but it's a time when I've spent time finding and editing the picture, creating a post about it on my blog so you can get the link up, then going through the whole thing to put in on your site. You've done that twice. And even when people ask you about it you still don't pick a winner. So, no thanks.

I've been running this photo challenge for 2 and a half years. In that time, I've missed a total of 3 – 4 winners posts. Sometimes it comes down to: do I want to catch up on this blog post, or spend time with my family this weekend? This would also be the reason I'm changing the weekly challenges…. to monthly. I just do not have time.
I'm sad that you chose to be so angry about this. This makes me feel like I should just stop the photo challenges altogether. My choosing a winner is not a top priority in the grand scheme of things. I would hope that your week is not ruined by my missing one (or, two) winners posts. I enjoy these challenges because they are fun and I love seeing the photos my fellow bloggers shot! That's it. It's a post I CHOOSE to write. CHOOSE being the key word. I do not apologize.

I don't enter because I don't have kids or a pet. 🙁
I could definitely change the rules to allow all photos (no kid or pet required). 🙂 I'll work on that for the next challenge. 🙂

I've always loved your photo challenges! I'll be entering this one too! I was wondering if you had posted the top five for the "smile" challenge and I missed it. I never saw a post for it and that was the last one I entered. Thanks!
